When DFM Greenland India got a call from Mr. Surya, the house was still in its early construction stage. The concrete had just been laid, and the last thing anyone expected was termites already popping up from the soil. But that’s exactly what happened. Fine mud lines and small clusters were appearing near the base, showing that the colony below was active and moving fast.
The family hadn’t planned for soil treatment earlier, so the problem showed up at the worst possible time — right after concreting. If ignored, the termites could easily spread through the foundation and later enter the wooden frames, cabinets, and door areas once the home was finished.
What was needed here wasn’t a basic spray. It had to be something strong enough to work even after the concrete had already set.
How did the Team Deal with the Situation on Site?
The technicians walked around the structure, checked the soil areas that were still exposed, and looked at how close the termite lines were to the new concrete. Once they understood the layout, they decided on a 3-layer protection plan that could cover both soil and foundation.
Instead of doing everything in one go, the team built protection step by step:
- The first thing done was treating the visible soil – A uniform chemical coat was applied to stop termite movement right at the base.
- Next, the risky points like pipe entries and wall meeting areas were handled – These spots act like hidden doorways for termites, so the team sealed them with the treatment.
- The final layer came after the concrete hardened – Small drill points were made on the surface, and an eco-friendly Bayer chemical was injected deep inside.
That pushed the protection down into the foundation where the main colony activity was thriving.
This 3-stage method created a chemical shield that covered the soil, the entry points, and the foundation — all working together.
What did the Homeowner Gain?
By the end of the treatment, the early termite activity had stopped. Now the house has a layered defence system and a 5-year warranty for complete reassurance. The chemicals used were safe and known for long-term performance, so the home is protected even though the initial soil treatment was missed.
