When Mr. Bejoy Thomas started spotting termite dust near the corners of his laterite-brick house in Manarcad, he first thought it was a small surface issue. But within a few days, the signs became clearer — mud tubes on the wall edges, wooden parts starting to weaken, and movement marks near the floor. Since laterite naturally holds moisture, termites find it easy to travel inside the brick layers. Knowing the problem was spreading, he contacted DFM Greenland India based on a strong recommendation from a friend.
What did the Team observe on Arrival?
The team found that the termites had already gone deeper inside the laterite walls. They were moving through the small pores in the brick and slowly entering the inner parts of the house. Laterite usually stays cool and a bit damp, especially during rainy months, so termites survive easily without showing clear signs.
The activity wasn’t limited to just one place — it had spread across several rooms, showing that the colony was active below the surface, not just on top.
How was the treatment executed?
The team didn’t rush the process. They started by tracing the movement lines and marking where termites were entering and travelling.
Precision drilling along termite paths
Small drill points were made along skirting lines and other affected areas. These holes were carefully placed so the treatment could reach the hidden termite routes within the laterite.
Deep injection into the foundation
The most important step was injecting termiticide directly into the foundation layer. This creates a chemical barrier under the floor, preventing termites from entering from the soil and blocking their return paths.
Application of eco-friendly chemicals
A high-quality, safe termiticide was used — strong on termites but safe for people inside the house. The aim was to give long-term protection without harming the living environment.
No disturbance to the home’s structure
The drilling was clean, and the holes were sealed neatly after the injection. The process didn’t require breaking tiles or damaging walls.
Warranty provided
After the treatment, a service warranty was activated so the homeowner stays fully protected for the long term. Any future termite activity during the warranty period will be handled without extra cost.
The Result
The termite infestation was completely eliminated. The laterite-brick home now has a strong protective layer around the base and internal areas. The chemical barrier will help prevent future termite attacks, giving the homeowner peace of mind. With the quick response and steady process, the structure was secured before any major damage occurred.
