DFM Greenland India carried out a pre-construction anti-termite treatment for a residential project owned by P. D. Abraham in Karippuzha, Mavelikkara, Alappuzha district. The architect coordinated the work. Treatment was done after the floor concrete was finished and before tiling. This was part of the project’s termite protection.
The Challenge
Termites may enter buildings through soil and hidden structural spaces. They can damage furniture and other cellulose items. Proper termite protection during construction reduces infestation risk.
Our Solution
DFM Greenland India gave termite treatment at the construction site after floor concrete work was finished. The architect coordinated the timing. Treatment was scheduled before tiling started. This let termite protection be handled before flooring was done.
DFM Greenland India used German product Bayer for the treatment process. This product was chosen to meet the project’s termite control needs.
Treatment Process
Before tiling, small holes were drilled into the floor along wall edges. The holes gave access to the soil under the floor for termite treatment. The medicine was injected through the holes into the soil. This created a chemical barrier along the wall edges. It lowers the chance of termites entering through soil. And also spray the medicine on the outer surface beneath the foundation level.
